Familial Archetypes

In Bert Hellinger’s Core Teachings, Brief Constellation Experiences, Family Constellation Fundamentals, Universal Themes

There are four Familial Archetypes that we inhabit during our lifetime. For males, they manifest as son, brother, partner/spouse, and father. For females, they appear as daughter, sister, partner/spouse. and mother. All other possible relational roles are an extension of these basic four. For women, being a niece or aunt follows being a daughter and sister first. Becoming a mother precedes being a grandmother. Men are similar, only manifesting in their masculine roles. A nephew stems from being a son, an uncle from being a brother and a grandfather from being a father. These Familial Archetypes continue to manifest as we mature along the time line of our lives. The practice of Familial Archetypal Constellations allows us to see ourselves in these roles and understand our effect on our family.

Contemplation: How are you doing in the four roles that manifest as your Soul? Could you take more responsibility in these roles?
